Winter Break Resources

MPS is on Winter Break from Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 through Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. Classes resume via Distance Learning on Monday, Jan. 4. 


MPS Meal Boxes pickup sites will be open on Dec. 21, 22, 29 & 30 during normal hours.  All sites will be closed on Dec. 23, 24, 25, 28, 31 as well as Jan. 1 and 4.  Regular service will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 4.   This year, MPS will also be providing Adult Holiday Meal Boxes.  For two weeks in a row, you can pick up a free Adult Holiday Meal Box when you pick up the free meal boxes for children.

Second Harvest Heartland has an online search function that can help you find hot meals, food banks, and information about local and federal food assistance programs.

Programs and Activities

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers free and low-cost virtual activities and programs. Find more information here or contact your local recreation center.

Hennepin County Library offers on demand and live virtual programming for people of all ages. A full list of upcoming events can be found here.

United Way 211 provides free and confidential health and human services information for people in Minnesota. Assistance is available in all languages.
